Parental Engagement
Families and parental involvement is a key component to a child being successful in Kindergarten and beyond. There are numerous ways for families to be involved and show their support for their child, their child's teacher, the classroom, the school and the community at large.
Some ways include:
* Meet the Teacher Night
* Volunteering on Field Trips
* Volunteering in the Classroom
* Being a member of the PAC
* Reading with their child or other children in the classroom (Reading Mornings)
* Newsletters sent home monthly
* Emails and phone calls about their child, with the focus on more of the positive than the negative
* Brochures and pamphlets about upcoming events such as Ready, Set, Learn
