Personal Introduction!
I've been fortunate to have found the occupation I love—teaching. I have extensive experience in this field, not only teaching, but also tutoring and mentoring and these experiences have only furthered my commitment to education. I am also devoted to continuing my own education and will hopefully begin my professional master’s in education at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON (online) next fall, having just finished 4 courses in the Graduate Diploma Program for Early Childhood Education.
For the last 10 years I have been a resource teacher at Champlain Elementary in Vancouver, BC working with special needs students and English Language Learners from K to 7. In addition, I worked for a year with Self Design as an SE Learning Consultant. Furthermore, I have been an Online CTE Instructor with Queen’s University providing instruction to teacher - candidates from BC in Math Strategies for At-Risk Students, Using Technology in Mathematics and Teaching Math in BC Elementary Schools. Needless to say, I’ve learned a lot!
